Bell Covers for Band Instruments

Bell covers for trumpet, trombone, baritone, euphonium, tuba, alto and tenor saxophone, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, and French horn. Available in black or white, our covers are made in Minneapolis from high quality, densely woven cotton. Developed in partnership with the University of Minnesota Department of Music and their marching band program, these are available for bells sized 3″ to 26″.

Woven Cotton Construction

AxMasks™ feature a white 5.3 oz or a lighter, more playable 3.5 oz. black woven cotton. These are NOT STRETCH KNIT like the competitors! Both options can be washed and dried in high heat. The French horn cover has an opening for a hand, while the other 12″ cover does not.

When 3rd parties tested our CDC-Recommended fabric against competitors’ stretch knit fabrics, we kept hearing, “Yours is the only one doing anything.” Water vapor travels easily through pinholes found in stretch fabric. In contrast, ours are made from the SAME woven cotton we used for a 133,000-piece mask order for Boston Scientific in 2020. AxMasks™ are washable and can be dried in high heat, and they are made in the USA!

Drawstring Bags Play Better

The trumpet drawstring “bag” is more playable than a bell cover, as the terminal nodal point sits slightly beyond the plane of a trumpet bell (physics!). The bag can be a great aid in playing high, exposed solos as well. It is very similar to the GnatCatcher™ Bag Mute that we have sold for years. Getting the director’s hand? Bag it! A trombone version is also available.
