Repair services are generally offered for older, pre-China Reunion Blues, San Francisco Glenn Chronkhite Gig Bags, and Minneapolis Glenn Cronkhite Gig Bags. Generally, the ones we are repairing appear to be 20+ years old, so you shouldn’t expect to need this service for many years, if the existence of this page gives you pause. We just fixed a 24 year old leather tuba bag, and for $150, this guy is going to get another 10-15 years out of his 1994 investment!
Please send a photo to us first, before sending the case, because sometimes it’s cheaper to buy a new bag than to repair the un-repairable. We will advise after seeing the photo. Simple repairs can usually be done for $50-100, while more extensive rebuilds for large leather cases (tuba, harp) can climb into the low hundreds. This can be an extremely smart way to get another 5-10 years out of a leather bag. Generally, it’s a good idea to repair an expensive leather bag, or a large nylon bag.
We bill in $25 increments (30 minutes labor), and add for materials and shipping later. To start, place and order for $25, and send the bag to us (Don’t forget! Email photos first!):

We won’t have a final price until we complete the repair. We will bill you for the balance, and will return the bag once a payment is received.
Our priority is to repair with patches rather than replace large panels of leather, so customers should not be expecting a new bag — the idea is to give an old bag new legs, but it will still be an old bag.
We do not repair Chinese Reunion Blues Bags, because some of those patterns were altered when that brand was taken overseas.
